Nature Center
The SCPRA is ready to put a focus on nature education! It’s our goal to provide programming for both youth and adults using the new facility at Furnace Run Park (2244 Lindsay Lot Road) — THE NATURE CENTER!
Here you can expect to find all sorts of fun — such as exploring the wilderness, learning about wildlife, and engaging in activities such as hiking, bird-house making, kite flying, and scavenger hunts! We hope to contribute to a passion for the outdoor, understanding of the wilderness, bring awareness to the environment, and provide passive recreation opportunities.
In the coming months more effort will be made to bring you programming centered around these sort of interests, hobbies, and ventures and this building will play a key factor in those offerings with a facility that is expected to welcome nature-lovers by Spring 2025! We’re hired a Nature Center Coordinator, and are getting ready to connect you with exploration!
