Thursday’s running from May thru September, 3:30pm-6:30pm for 2026.
THIRD THURDAY OF THE MONTH @ MEMORIAL PARK (101 PARK PLACE W)
DATES:
May 21st — June 18th — July 16th — August 20th — September 17th
We are seeking vendors to commit to all 5 dates for one low price — as we try to grow a strong presence and turn the market into a can’t miss community event, we are also taking a very vendor-friendly approach so you and business has the most success.
The vision is to have options like: produce, foot trucks, flowers, handmade crafts, local suppliers and producers of goods, and other artisan vendors — with the potential to have beverage sales and on-site tastings, live music, and networking opportunities.
Located at historic Memorial Park (formed in 1950) as the cornerstone of the community, the location offers convenience with proximity to Route 11, traffic flow of the nearby school system, and a busy schedule of park activities. There is a large park lot, space to accommodate visitors, and means for a user-friendly setup to market area.
The market area will be centralized, and allow vendors to setup where they park (to limit loading and unloading) along the access road, which will be used at the footpath for visitors.
We are currently accepting vendor applications for 2026
Please e-mail director@shippensburgparkandrec.org for paperwork or to learn how to get involved. Inquiries can also be made by calling the SCPRA Office at 717.530.0261
The market is held at Shippensburg Memorial Park (100 Park Place W) near the Field 5 and features a variety of local vendors from the nearby region.
SHIP MARKET: Learn More About It’s History
The market has a longstanding tradition in the community, formed and previously ran at Southampton Park at 180 Airport Road. The market has deep meaning and connection to local leaders and after originally being led by Southampton Township Cumberland County (STCC) -- and because of the hardwork and spirit that began with a group of four women, it now enters it's 10th season in 2026. For several of those years one of those women helped build it's popularity, until 2023 when it was turned over to the Park Authority (SCPRA). Since that point, it's been rebranded and moved to a new location -- but still involves those old ties and and lives with the same objectives.
