The Alexander Stewart MD Foundation Holiday Dinner will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activities Center at 33 W. Orange St. Hosted by the Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority and Branch Creek Place, the doors will open for the free community Christmas meal at 10:30 a.m.  The meal is free for anyone in the community who would be alone on Christmas and home delivery is limited to elderly and shut-in residents of the community.

 Pre-registration is required for all meals by Friday Dec. 16. Call 300-3563 leave a message with your name and the number of meals needed.  The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Meals on Wheels will start deliveries at noon.

Kathy’s Deli will cater the event again this year. The menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, green beans, applesauce, dinner roll, dessert, fruit punch, iced tea, and coffee.
